Assassins Creed: Unity Co-op Demo

As I mentioned, I would follow up the previous AC post with footage of the live co op demo from Microsoft’s conference. Here it is. The game looks great, with a few hiccups here and there, oh well. The AI definitely has some improvements, like the guard checking out that 18th century booty. But really, the chance to go around being assassins in the French revolution with me and some friends really sounds great, and the way this looks to be implemented has got me pretty excited for this release.

Assassins Creed: Unity Trailer

I’m pretty pumped about this game, for a variety of reasons; I really enjoy the setting, with revolution era France, plus the co op looks great. Either way, check this new trailer, showcasing the 4 assassin’s role in the storming of the Bastille, kicking off the French Revolution.

Looks pretty awesome. I’ll follow up with the Co op gameplay as well, so you can see the game in action.

Dead Island 2 announced

As with every E3, there is almost too much stuff being announced, hard to keep track of it all. But here is a fun trailer for Dead Island 2. A game I didn’t really expect to get a big sequel. While entertaining, it had its fair share of bugs and weird glitches. Anyway, while this trailer is obviously not indicative of gameplay, it is still fun, and catchy, which is really the point, to get people interested. I’m sure we can expect some gameplay in the coming months.

GTA V announced for PC, PS4 and Xbox One

In a move that isn’t too surprising, Rockstar quietly announced on their website that Grand Theft Auto V would be coming to PC and the next-gen (current gen?) systems this fall, with updated visuals for all 3 systems. I really enjoyed this game, and seeing as how my 360 put a nice big ring in my disc after about a month, I’ll most likely end up picking this back up for PS4. Check the trailer below.

The Sims 4 Build Mode Trailer

Check out this new video of The Sims 4, showing off the new house building features. It looks like Maxis has streamlined the process of construction and even made it easier for those who are less patient, providing the ability to simply buy furnished rooms. While some may think that is dumbing the game down, I feel that this creates endless possibilities in the weird homes that one can build. I’m sure there will be players out there that use this feature to the fullest extent in constructing some sort of a castle or fortress. It’s been a while since I’ve last played a Sims game, so this may be something I have to check out.

The Sims 4 will release for PC in Fall 2014.

Minecraft In Goat Simulator? What Have They Done?

If you missed our previous post about Goat Simulator’s upcoming 1.1 patch, make sure to click here. On top of all the gameplay additions that Coffee Stain Studios is cranking out for the update, they have now outdone themselves. Over on the Facebook page for the game, they posted a screenshot suggesting that they have for some reason introduced Minecraft gameplay mechanics into Goat simulator.

With the screenshot, the caption reads :

Goat Simulator patch 1.1: You will now be able to play the world’s most popular game inside the world’s best game.

By the looks of the goat, it’s probably an unlockable goat that has the special ability to place blocks identical to those of Minecraft. As if you didn’t need another reason to play this game. The 1.1 patch for Goat Simulator is set to release on June 3rd, 2014.

FX’s The Strain Trailer

Little is known about the upcoming series The Strain, besides the fact that it stems from the brain of Guillermo del Toro, who also directed the pilot episode. Taking place in New York City, a viral outbreak spreads through the population turning humans into something that we’ve never seen before. Now if you’re like me, you automatically assume zombies. Well, we’re wrong. Apparently the virus has something to do with a strain of vampirism, but from the looks of this preview, it’s probably not the vampires we’re used to. Check it out below.

The Strain premieres July 13th, 2014 on FX.

Battlefield Hardline Gameplay Leaked

It looks like the next title in the blockbuster Battlefield franchise will be called Battlefield Hardline. Instead of going with usual huge scope of an all out war, this next release will be more focused and have a cops and robbers style. Introducing new vehicles like muscle cars and gadgets will surely be a refreshing take on the gameplay that battlefield has come to perfect. In this newly leaked footage, we get to see grappling hooks, Mustangs and Dodge Challengers, as well as some of the new gameplay modes(including both singleplayer and multiplayer). Since EA is giving all the videos on YouTube the boot, hit the link below to jump over to Polygon and watch the 7 min video.

Battlefield Hardline should be releasing Fall 2014.
